Spaniards paying 27% more for broadband than EU average

According to Ofcom, by country, in Germany an average Internet home contract with fixed telephony costs 33.67 euros per month; 40.67 euros in the United Kingdom; 45.67 euros in Italy; and 35 euros in France. How about Spain broadband? Find out below.

Compared to the market offering the lowest prices, Germany, Spaniards end up paying 19.33 euros more per month (232 euros more per year) than German users, that is, 57.43% more.

Spanish consumers are currently paying an average of EUR 53 for their fixed broadband package, some 27.4 percent more than the European average, according to a Kelisto.es, Spain price compare portal.
A comparison of ADSL and fibre broadband rates in Italy, France, the UK, Germany and Spain revealed that the monthly amount spent by Spaniards was over EUR 12 more than the European average of EUR 41.6 and EUR 19.33 more per month than in Germany, where a fixed broadband subscription costs EUR 33.67 a month on average, equivalent to EUR 232 more a year.

Currently, Kelisto.es reports that only Orange, Movistar, Vodafone and Jazztel offer convergent rates with payment channels, whose average cost is 51.53 euros. spain broadband

In terms of the cheapest broadband, the countries with the lowest prices are typically Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary.

As for the most expensive broadband, the data indicates that countries like Greece, Cyprus, and Malta have the highest prices. Spain is not among the countries with the most expensive broadband either, but it is still slightly above the average in terms of price.
