There are two main insurance plans available:

1. Individual Annual Insurance: This flexible and cost-effective insurance is valid worldwide (except in Slovakia) for a period of 12 months with automatic renewal for the next year. It can be used for an unlimited number of trips, such as holidays or shopping abroad. The maximum length of one trip is 90 days. The cost is €2.00 per month.
2. Family Travel Insurance: The Family program is more cost-effective, and each member is covered at the same limits. It is not necessary to report the names of the insured persons, and family members can also travel independently. The insurance coverage applies to family members or people living at the same address and children from 3 months of age. The cost is €3.00 per month.

What Risks Does Travel Insurance Cover?

Travel insurance covers various risks, including medical expenses and related costs, death due to an accident, permanent disability, emergency evacuation, repatriation of remains, liability for damage (additional insurance), and loss or damage to personal belongings. However, it does not cover extreme sports or business trips.

The insurance is provided in cooperation with MetLife and is intended for individuals aged 18 to 69 years. In the case of a foreigner, it is necessary to have a residence permit in Slovakia.

Travel insurance can be easily activated in several ways. For customers with a flat rate, there is the option of activation via SMS. Other interested parties can request travel insurance through the Customer Line or in person at any Telekom Centre.

Reporting an Insurance Event

When reporting an insurance event, it is necessary to provide the operator with the name and surname, birth number, and permanent residence address of the insured person. In the case of medical treatment, also provide the contact of the treating doctor, a description of the insurance event, and the reason for treatment or hospitalization.
