Already in the first week of testing, a record data transfer speed of 1648 Mbps was recorded in Montenegro. This speed, for example, allows a viewer to download a two-hour movie in high definition (1080p) from a streaming platform, such as HBO Max used by One user, in about 20 seconds.

“The One company is building a network for the future, which will provide much more than dizzying speeds – it will enable the further development of supporting industries and will launch a completely new era of interconnected devices,” said One’s executive director Branko Mitrović.

In 2021, Telenor Montenegro launched a 5G test network in the capital city of Podgorica, becoming the first operator to do so in the country. The network is being used to test the capabilities of 5G technology and explore potential use cases.
