O2 Germany offers Roaming Plus World bundle for €9.99
The “Roam Like at Home” (RLAH) regulation in Europe allows travelers to use their mobile data, calls, and texts across EU countries without incurring additional roaming charges, making it easier and more affordable to stay connected while abroad. In non-EU countries, the “Roam Like at Home” (RLAH) regulation doesn’t apply, so travelers may face roaming charges. However, some mobile providers offer special roaming packages for popular non-EU destinations, helping to reduce costs. O2 Germany Roaming Plus World
One of these operators is Telefonica Germany: now it is also possible to get affordable data for other countries outside the EU thanks to the new o2 Roaming Plus World Pack.
33 countries in World Zone 3 & 4
The o2 Roaming Plus World Pack offers you the opportunity to surf carefree in a total of 33 countries in world zones 3 and 4 (outside the EU) – ideal for the travel enthusiasts among us. This saves you the hassle of having to use complex alternatives, such as getting a foreign SIM just for one stay, and you can be connected with just one click.
2GB data volume in distant countries for 9.99€
With the Roaming Plus World Pack you get 2GB of data for €9.99 within 33 countries. The data pack can be booked for all o2 Mobile, Free or Grow tariffs and becomes active the day after activation. The pack can be booked easily in the My o2 area or in the My o2 app.
The Roaming Plus World Pack ends automatically after 30 calendar days and does not need to be canceled separately. If you use up your data volume within this time, no further data usage is possible for the time being. However, if you still need more volume, you can simply book an additional 2GB for the remaining term for €14.99 (you can also do this by sending an SMS with the word WORLD to 80112).

Never forget: VoWIFI to make calls at domestic rates
Now you have a data pack, but you still want to make a phone call. This works inexpensively or for free in all countries with telephony over WLAN (Voice over WIFI, or VoWIFI for short). With VoWIFI you can make normal phone calls without a mobile network if you are logged into a WIFI network.
Billing with VoWIFI is always done as if you were in Germany. So if you are in Bolivia and call someone in Germany via VoWIFI, the call is free if you have a flat rate in your tariff. It is then considered a call from Germany to Germany.
Be careful within the EU: Thanks to EU regulations, you can make free calls via mobile phone in the same zone (from Spain to Spain, from Spain to Germany, from Spain to Italy, etc.). However, a call from Spain to Spain via VoWIFI would be like calling from Germany to Spain.
When using VoWIFI in this scenario, you should make sure that there are no interruptions or disruptions in the Wi-Fi network, as the cell phone would then switch to the mobile network and costs would be incurred.
