Mobile operator of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan launches roaming service

The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is a landlocked exclave of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The region covers 5,500 km2  with a population of 410,000, bordering Armenia to the east and north, Iran  to the south and west, and Turkey  to the northwest.

Nakhchivan is separated from the rest of Azerbaijan by a slice of southern Armenia, and it does not border Nagorno-Karabakh, the focus of the ongoing conflict between the two states.
