Makedonski Telekom continues expanding its 5G network throughout the country. After the successful start of the first commercial 5G network in 15 towns and their surroundings, the 5G network will be available in Skopje as well. 5g skopje

5G is already active in the East Gate Mall in Skopje, as well as in the neighbourhoods of Cento, Madzari, Avtokomanda, Zelezara, Keramidnica and Hipodrom, while by the end of March 2022 it will also be available in the following Skopje regions: Radisani, Butel, Suto Orizari, Cair, Topansko Pole, Bardovci, the industrial zone Vizbegovo – Kacanicki Pat, Gjorce Petrov, Dame Gruev, Hrom, Dolno Nerezi, Vlae, Zlokukjani, Karpos 4, Karpos 3, Momin Potok, Taftalidze 2 and Trnodol. By May 2022, Skopje will be fully covered with a 5G signal.

By the end of the year, 26 towns in Macedonia will be covered with equipment of the latest generation.

Makedonski Telekom has enabled the use of 5G services in parallel and in combination with 4G, by means of an advanced technology for using the existing radio frequencies. The network is prepared to enable super fast gigabyte mobile internet, immediately after the completion of the process for assigning radio frequencies in the radio bands of 700MHz and 3.6GHz by the AEC.

5G will be provided to all the customers who are located in the towns covered with 5G, pursuant to the tariffs that they are using, and who have adequately certified 5G devices.
