Governments of Kosovo and Albania gathered today in Peja to discuss cooperation and signed several agreements aimed at removing existing barriers between the two countries.
Prime Ministers Ramush Haradinaj of Kosovo and Edi Rama of Albania during a ceremony have signed nine agreements. Among the agreements is removal of roaming fees between the two countries, as well as a protocol on joint customs clearance procedures at the joint border crossings of Morine-Vermice.
Also the two governments signed an agreement on cooperation related to public debt, foreign investments and relations with international financial institutions. The two governments also agreed to coordinate policies on Albanian diaspora and attracting businesses of Albanian diaspora. In addition Albania and Kosovo reached an agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses.
