Ice says covid-19 had neutral effect on roaming costs

Ice Group said in comments on its newly released 2019 annual report that changing traffic volumes caused by Covid-19 restrictions have had a neutral effect on Ice’s National Roaming Agreement (NRA) and foreign roaming costs.
Smartphone subscription sales were negatively affected in March, it added.
Earlier this month, Ice launched MobilBytte, which gives customers both interest-free financing when purchasing new mobile phones and screen and damage insurance included in the price.

Today’s launch of MobilBytte stands in line with several exciting ice launches this year. With everything from Data Freedom with a total of 1000 GB of data included to a free mobile subscription, we challenge and change the traditional mobile industry to the best of our customers. Mobile Exchange at ice is another step in the right direction and there is no doubt that it is with us the customers get the most value for money, says Eivind Helgaker, CEO of ice.

Mobile Exchange easily explained:
• Screen and non-life insurance
• No subscription bonding
• No startup cost
• Fixed, low monthly rate
• No interest or fees
• 30 month contract period
• Switch mobile free every 18 months if you want

Lower monthly price and insurance included
In addition to giving customers the most value for money, it is also important for ice to have a good insurance included in the fixed low monthly price. In fact, ice is the only mobile operator that has screen and damage insurance included in the price, regardless of which phone and subscription the customer chooses. Should the mobile phone be exposed to anything from water damage to a broken screen, the insurance will cover it. The low deductible also remains unchanged for as many as three accidents a year.
