The 28th edition of the World Travel Awards ranked hotels from the iconic Waldorf Astoria and Conrad brands collectively in their prestigious World categories with seven total awards granted to exceptional properties within these brands. Most notably, Conrad Hotels & Resorts was crowned World’s Leading Luxury Hotel Brand for 2021. This prestigious title comes after a successful year of new signings for the contemporary hotel brand, only to be followed by an unprecedented year of growth in 2022 with six hotels scheduled to open in key global markets. Nominees of the World category feature winners of WTA’s regional awards (Europe, Asia, Oceania, Middle East, South America, Central America, North America, Africa, Indian Ocean and Caribbean) competing for the highest accolade in this notable awards program.

In addition to being named the World’s Leading Luxury Hotel Brand for 2021, three Conrad hotels also ranked individually within the World category. These hotels include Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus which was named World’s Leading City Hotel; Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers as World’s Leading Luxury City Hotel 2021; and Conrad Algarve as World’s Luxury Leisure Resort 2021.

Waldorf Astoria hotels in the UAE and Europe also received distinguished World category accolades, with hotels in Rome and Dubai topping the list as leading luxury hotels in their respective markets.
