GMX and Web.de introduce end-to-end encryption for cloud

Germany’s two largest email providers Web.de and GMX have introduced end-to-end encryption to their cloud storage services. Users can encrypt their data with specifically designed apps for PCs and smartphones and securely transmit their data to a storage folder in Web.de’s online storage site or the GMX MediaCenter.

The service was developed in cooperation with Skymatic, a software company specializing in data security and cryptography.
