Etisalat has decided to charge Dhs25 for late bill payments

The late payment charges will be applicable for both landline and mobile

Emirates Telecom Group (Etisalat) will also start applying VAT on its products and services provided for the local market by 5 per cent from first of January, 2018.

Etisalat notified its customers in SMSs that most of its products and services shall be subject to a 5 per cent value-added tax in compliance with federal laws and regulations levying and regulating the tax in the UAE.

This came in conjunction with the announcement of Ministry of Finance issued on Tuesday concerning the executive regulations of Federal Law No. 8 of 2017 regarding the 5 per cent VAT imposed on the goods and services.
