Top 30 Embedded Connectivity Companies to Watch in 2026

Embedded connectivity has become a useful phrase and a dangerous shortcut. A fintech adding mobile plans, a carmaker connecting vehicles, an industrial manufacturer deploying sensors and an operator remotely changing an eSIM profile can all claim to be embedding connectivity. They are not buying the same product, accepting the same risks or handing control to the same kind of supplier.

 

That distinction is sharper in 2026. Consumer brands are turning telecom into an in-app feature, while industrial buyers prepare for SGP.32, the GSMA architecture for remote profile management on unattended IoT devices. Commercial launches from Telefónica Tech, Tele2 IoT and Soracom show it leaving the demonstration stage. It does not make every platform open or every country easy to serve.

This is a market map, not a revenue ranking. Alertify assessed infrastructure control, API and orchestration depth, deployment evidence, multi-network capability, localisation support and the ability to put connectivity inside another company’s product. The companies operate at different layers. Comparing Gigs with Kigen as direct rivals would be tidy and commercially useless.

1. Gigs. Gigs is the clearest pure-play embedded-mobile platform for fintechs and consumer brands. Its 2026 launches with Cash App, Qonto, Tide and ShopBack show mobile plans and travel eSIMs becoming native financial and loyalty features rather than external referrals.

2. 1GLOBAL. 1GLOBAL combines embedded-telco APIs with regulated telecom operations, network infrastructure and eSIM provisioning. That gives banks and digital brands a broader operating model than simple travel-data resale, particularly where domestic subscriptions, compliance and support sit inside the proposition.

3. eSIM Go. eSIM Go remains an important wholesale engine for brands adding travel connectivity through APIs, white-label stores or managed distribution. Its advantage is speed; buyers must still understand network visibility, recovery and customer ownership.

4. Telna. Telna offers programmable eSIM connectivity, cloud management and mobile-network capabilities to service providers, OEMs and emerging MVNOs. It sits between wholesale airtime and a full enablement platform, making it relevant to travel eSIM, enterprise mobility and connected-product businesses.

5. Transatel. NTT-owned Transatel combines MVNE services, a full core network, global IoT connectivity and the Ubigi consumer brand. Its automotive record and ability to support API, white-label and branded models give it unusual depth across both embedded consumer and industrial connectivity.

Operator and carrier-grade IoT platforms

6. Telefónica Tech. Telefónica Tech’s Kite platform now integrates a Thales SGP.32 solution capable of managing Telefónica and third-party profiles. That makes it one of the clearest examples of a major operator turning remote provisioning into a multi-operator management proposition.

7. Vodafone IoT. Vodafone IoT brings global managed connectivity, operator relationships and enterprise deployment experience. Its SGP.32 direction matters, but buyers should distinguish Vodafone’s own capabilities from profiles, orchestration or visibility supplied through partners.

8. Tele2 IoT. Tele2 IoT launched an end-to-end SGP.32 proposition with Cisco and IDEMIA Secure Transactions in March 2026. The combination covers global connectivity, orchestration and certified eSIM infrastructure, avoiding the common problem of buying three compatible components and discovering four integration projects.

9. BICS. BICS adds roaming, interconnect and carrier infrastructure to global IoT connectivity and eSIM orchestration. It is particularly relevant when local-profile management and permanent-roaming restrictions matter more than having the most attractive dashboard.

10. Tata Communications MOVE. MOVE spans SIM and eSIM connectivity, orchestration and connected-vehicle services. Its value is strongest for enterprises seeking a global operating layer that connects network management with device and application workflows rather than treating airtime as an isolated purchase.

11. Cubic³. Formerly Cubic Telecom, Cubic³ specialises in software-defined vehicle connectivity. Its work across cellular and satellite partners illustrates how connected-car platforms are expanding from network access into policy, regional compliance and resilient service continuity.

12. Aeris. Aeris gained substantial scale by acquiring Ericsson’s IoT Accelerator and Connected Vehicle Cloud businesses. Its strongest fit is with operators and automotive programmes needing an established global platform, not with teams looking for a lightweight developer SIM.

13. Telit Cinterion. Telit Cinterion combines modules, embedded SIM options, device engineering and NExT connectivity. That integrated model can shorten troubleshooting, although buyers should test how much hardware choice and supplier independence remain.

14. Particle. Particle embeds EtherSIM connectivity into its cellular devices and combines it with cloud software, fleet health and over-the-air management. It is compelling for product teams that prefer one integrated development environment to assembling hardware, airtime and device-cloud tools separately.

15. Cisco. Cisco IoT Control Center remains a major connectivity-management platform, while its eSIM Orchestrator extends the model into SGP.31 and SGP.32 workflows. Cisco usually operates as the control layer, so the commercial experience still depends heavily on the chosen connectivity provider.

16. Wireless Logic. Wireless Logic combines broad operator access with its Conexa mobile core and managed services. Its July 2026 acquisition of US-based SIMETRY strengthened its North American position and continued a strategy built as much through acquisition as internal platform development.

17. Eseye. Eseye’s AnyNet+ and Infinity propositions combine multi-network connectivity with device design and managed deployment. Its central argument is sensible: many apparent network failures begin with antennas, firmware or power behaviour long before the connectivity contract enters the conversation.

18. floLIVE. floLIVE differentiates through distributed core infrastructure, local breakout and localisation. Operational SGP.32 support with Kigen strengthens its proposition for enterprises that need to move between roaming and local profiles without rebuilding their entire fleet architecture.

19. KORE. KORE combines connectivity, hardware, deployment services and analytics, while the former Twilio IoT business broadened its scale. Its SGP.32 portfolio with Kigen is commercially relevant, but availability and profile options should be checked by market rather than assumed globally.

20. Velos IoT. Velos IoT offers global connectivity, eSIM options and the Nomad management platform. It deserves attention as an independent managed-connectivity specialist, although its coverage and network totals, like those of most providers, remain difficult to compare on a like-for-like basis.

Cloud-native and programmable challengers

21. Soracom. Soracom commercially released SGP.32-compatible eSIMs and its Connectivity Hypervisor in July 2026. The ability to manage multiple operator profiles through one control layer is strategically important, though broader third-party availability still depends on partner integrations.

22. emnify. emnify runs a cloud-native mobile core and targets product makers wanting API control, security and factory-first connectivity. Its proposition is strongest where engineering teams need programmable infrastructure rather than a heavily managed service.

23. 1NCE. 1NCE built its reputation on long-duration, flat-price IoT connectivity. The model suits low-data, long-life deployments where predictable economics matter more than premium throughput, complex localisation or extensive operator choice.

24. Monogoto. Monogoto spans public cellular, private networks and satellite connectivity through a programmable model. The breadth is attractive for remote and industrial assets, but buyers should verify whether operational maturity is equally strong across each access technology.

25. Onomondo. Onomondo emphasises network-level visibility, APIs and tools that reduce device-side data consumption. Its work with Kigen on SGP.32 gives it a credible orchestration path while preserving its developer-focused character.

26. Hologram. Hologram offers developer-friendly global cellular connectivity, APIs and fleet management. Its position is above the infrastructure layer: it sells managed connectivity to product teams, rather than the eSIM operating systems and provisioning machinery used by other providers.

27. Thales. Thales supplies secure eSIM technology and remote-provisioning infrastructure rather than consumer airtime. Its 2026 Telefónica Tech launch demonstrates how SGP.32 components become commercially useful only when integrated with connectivity management, operator profiles and support.

28. Giesecke+Devrient. G+D’s AirOn360 portfolio covers consumer, automotive and IoT eSIM management. Its role is foundational: enabling operators and manufacturers to control profiles throughout long device lifecycles, rather than competing for the final retail customer.

29. IDEMIA Secure Transactions. IDEMIA provides certified eSIM infrastructure and joined Tele2 IoT and Cisco in a commercial SGP.32 solution. That partnership usefully reveals the stack: secure provisioning underneath, orchestration in the middle and operator connectivity on top.

30. Kigen. Kigen supplies SIM, eSIM, and iSIM operating systems, plus remote provisioning technology. Its growing presence behind floLIVE, KORE, Onomondo and other offers makes it one of the companies buyers may not contract directly but should still understand.

The shortlist begins with control, not coverage

The larger signal is not that every software company is becoming a telco. Connectivity is being decomposed into carrier access, profiles, billing, compliance, support and lifecycle management, then reassembled inside somebody else’s customer experience.

That creates more choice, but more places for responsibility to disappear. A fintech should compare Gigs and 1GLOBAL differently from an automotive OEM evaluating Cubic³, Aeris or Transatel. A sensor fleet may need Wireless Logic, floLIVE, Soracom or emnify, with Thales, G+D, IDEMIA or Kigen underneath.

SGP.32 should make profile change and localisation easier. It will not correct weak hardware, vague support commitments, incompatible integrations or poor recovery procedures. The strongest partner is therefore not automatically the provider displaying the largest map. It is the one that can explain—contractually and technically—who controls the core, profiles, data path, customer relationship and recovery process when the deployment stops behaving like the demonstration.
