The top spots in the European Union in 2017 were Denmark (73%), the Netherlands (65%) and Sweden (64%). The slowest Internet penetration rate was lowest in companies in Cyprus (25%), Greece (25%) and Italy (23%)
Germany remains in the middle of a ranking of all EU member states in terms of availability of broadband as the country continues to proceed slowly with expansion, according to the latest report on internet connectivity from Germany’s Federal Statistics Agency.
The agency’a report found that only 42 percent of companies located in Germany with more than ten employees and an internet connection had access to a fixed broadband connection providing service at at least 30 Mbps in 2017, up four percentage points from 2016.
