Amadeus launches Covid-19 chatbot
Travel trade tech company Amadeus has rolled out a special chatbot to answer travellers’ searching questions about Covid-19. Covid-19 chatbot amadeus
Called Travel-19, it aims to be a one-stop place to answer all queries about specific restrictions and mandatory protocols for each country, as well as national and state government advisories.
It also offers solutions regarding flight cancellations and the impact on flights of more than 350 airlines in 60 countries.
“Although travel restrictions are starting to ease, we see big differences in rules and restrictions around the world, and the situation is changing all the time,” said Nicolas Martiquet, Amadeus’s head of traveller & customer discovery.
It aggregates links to sources of official information for additional resources.
Amadeus hopes it will help alleviate pressure on travel advisors managing heavy workloads of flight changes and cancellation requests.
By July 1, most of Europe will ease travel restrictions. In Asia Pacific, Japan plans to allow a limited number of visitors from some countries. Australia and New Zealand are considering quarantine-free travel for their residents between these two neighboring nations. Covid-19 chatbot amadeus
