Claro and TIM sign agreement to expand roaming in Brazil

With this initiative operators will provide access to the 3G mobile network in 700 new Brazilian municipalities

Claro and TIM announced on Friday (10), a partnership for infrastructure sharing in the form of roaming.
The agreement should ensure 3G connectivity to its users in more than 700 new municipalities where, before, there was only one of the operators. Which means they will come together and share the structure to improve coverage in those locations.

During the teleconference of its latest financial results , TIM had already announced that it was negotiating the network share with other operators besides Oi.
According to Claro, the negotiation predicts the use of the 3G structure in the municipalities contemplated since the beginning of July. “The provision of the service will be transparent, not requiring any prior action by customers following the mechanics of the service offer / service plan already contracted,” he said.
