The service is only available in Spain, France and Portugal and will be available from 35 euros per month from December 1
Roaming for Andorra Telecom customers will be cheaper and more convenient from December 1 if they hire one of the three new plans. The service can be used only from Spain, France and Portugal, countries that add up to 90% of roaming customers of the Andorran operator, although they will also include services in national territory, as usual.
«With these fees, the extended practice of having an Andorran card and a Spanish one will be eliminated, because with the new passes you can use the phone as if you were in the Principality», said the speaker of Andorra Telecom, Carles Casadevall, during the presentation of the new rates.

The cheapest of the new plans that can be purchased from December 1 is Mobiland35, which for 35 euros a month includes a national flat rate, 100 international minutes, six gigabits (GB) for browsing, unlimited SMS. It follows the Mobiland59, for 59 euros per month it has the same characteristics as the previous one but with 600 minutes for calls abroad and 10GB of data. Finally, the Mobiland79 adds to the last 900 international minutes and 6GB.
All rates that include roaming have the condition of having to use, at least, 50% of the data in national territory.
“This is in line with the directive that regulates roaming in the European Union and says that half of the consumption must be made in the country of recruitment to avoid bad practices,” explained Casadevall. According to the spokesman, this improvement has been made to contribute to the link with Europe and, therefore, “it makes sense to be inspired” in its rules. In the event that the customer depletes the available data while abroad, he may continue browsing at a price of five cents per GB: “All this is notified via SMS while the client is away,” he clarified Casadevall.
“With the exponential growth of data consumption that we have had this year, what we have seen is that the customer requested more data and that is what motivated this improvement,” said Casadevall.

In addition, the spokesman of Andorra Telecom recalled that 40% of its subscribers use roaming, at least once a month, “this is a huge cost for the telemarketers,” he said.
The consumption of mobile data abroad increases by 550% between January and October 2017, compared to the same period in 2016. Andorra Telecom customers consumed 15,000 gigas in roaming mode, in front of 2,300 of last year.[amazon_link asins=’B00M4PE2NA,B002ZJ5EDC,B01HQ16WS4,B00Q78MU6G,B01FTNANIQ,B013OUS19E,B06XY2JJSQ’ template=’ProductCarousel’ store=’alert0b-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’6aaffba4-d51f-11e7-b73b-63d8c96e42cc’]
