Italy’s CoopVoce activates eSIM service
CoopVoce has become the latest Italian MVNO to officially launch an embedded SIM card (eSIM) service. The eSIM can be requested at participating CoopVoce stores in combination with all of the operator’s consumer and business offers. Any user with a compatible phone who asks for an eSIM rather than a physical card will be sent a one-off QR code by email and will be able to connect to the network as soon as the eSIM is activated.
CoopVoce uses TIM’s 4G network with download speeds of up to 100Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50Mbps. It reached 1.5 million customers in 2020 and is looking to double that to 3 million by 2024.

You can request your new eSIM at a Coop Point of Sale , either if you activate a new number or if you decide to bring your number to CoopVoce. You can also switch to eSIM if you are already a CoopVoce customer, replacing your physical SIM with a virtual one. For all cases, a compatible Smartphone is required.
